District 18 legislative candidates’ forum  

Candidates wishing to be selected to fill the unfinished term of the late Del. Jane E. Lawton, who died suddenly November 29, will have the chance to meet and answer questions from Caucus members and other voters from District 18.

Members of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) also will be invited to attend.  MCDCC will meet on December 11 to select a candidate to recommend to Governor Martin O’Malley, who will appoint a replacement for Del. Lawton.

“We in District 18 are so saddened to have lost Del. Lawton,” said Arthur Schatzkin, Caucus Chair.  “We look forward to the selection of a replacement who will continue the strong representation of the district and excellent service to the state that Del. Lawton provided.”

Cable television’s Political Pulse moderator, Charles Duffy, will moderate.
